What are the HMRC reporting requirements for a works bus service?
If you provide a works bus service for your employees, you don’t need to report this to HMRC and there won’t be any additional PAYE tax or National Insurance implications as a result.
There are certain conditions that the works bus service needs to meet to be considered exempt:

If you provide a works bus service and it forms part of a salary sacrifice arrangement with an employee, it isn’t exempt from HMRC reporting requirements. This means you will need to report it on your P11D form, reporting either the salary amount sacrificed or the cost of the works bus service, whichever is higher. This only applies to salary sacrifice arrangements made after 6th April 2017.
