The grand official opening of Seven Mile House takes place tomorrow, Friday 22nd November 2019 at 3pm, and the finishing touches are now taking place before the Mayor of Gedling and guests get their first glimpse of the refurbishment. The noted building will become the new headquarters of DSR Tax Claims Ltd, a firm of tax preparation specialists who serve clients nationwide. Managing Director David Redfern assembled a team of the finest tradespeople and companies in order to restore and refurbish the building which dates back to the 18th century.
The refurbishment has involved an array of talented tradespeople working across a range of trades. However, there are another group of local businesses who deserve a mention. Redfern explains “It’s all very well having this wealth of talent at our disposal, but without a selection of committed local suppliers who have fulfilled the most complex orders often at very short notice, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve the near impossible. Not only have they been helpful beyond belief, but have given such friendly and professional customer service too and they have been a pleasure to do business with. Without the teams at Frank Key, UK Tool Hire and TJ Timber, our project would have been a disaster”.
Supplying the project with a wide range of building materials has been Frank Key Ltd, based in Nottingham, with branches across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Lancashire. Going above and beyond for the Seven Mile House project has been Laura Tye who stated “With no shortage of suppliers in the market, it has been a pleasure that the Frank Key Group were selected to provide the building materials for your project at the Seven Mile House. Service, quality and value for money have been our guiding principles for 112 years and it is pleasing to know that customers still crave the personal touch that our business has to offer. It has been a privilege to assist David on this project and wish him the very best of luck for the future”.
UK Tool Hire Ltd, based in Ilkeston and Nottingham, provide a wide range of plant and tool hire across the East Midlands, with more than 20 years of trading experience. They have played a key role in the Seven Mile House project by providing a wide range of tool and plant hire for the refurbishment. Brett Scothern from UK Tool Hire stated “It has been a real pleasure being a part of the project. It’s been hard work to ensure that we have met all requests in line with the timescales required but it has been fantastic to be able to play a role in the refurbishment”.
Supplying a wide range of timber for the project has been TJ Timber and Joinery Supplies Ltd of Moorgreen, Nottingham whose comprehensive range of timber products includes machined timber, moulded timber and timber decking as well as sheet materials, doors and windows, stair parts and roof trusses. Andy Jones from TJ Timber and Joinery Supplies stated “It has been a great pleasure for TJ Timber and Joinery Supplies Ltd to supply DSR Tax Claims with all timber products that were needed for their new offices at Severn Mile House, we would like to wish David and all the team at DSR all the best for the future, and look forward to working with them again soon”.
Redfern added “Without these key suppliers, our project scope and timescales would have proved to be impossible and yet time and again, all three businesses went beyond ordinary customer service to pull together truly legendary service and ensure that all the tradespeople were able to carry on their tasks without a hitch. Not only did UK Tool Hire, TJ Timber and Frank Key fulfil our requirements to the very best of their abilities, they met our near impossible demands with a can-do attitude and everyone on the Seven Mile House project is full of gratitude for these unsung heroes”.
The official opening of Seven Mile House takes place tomorrow, Friday 22nd November 2019, at 3pm and will be attended by the Mayor of Gedling to celebrate the wealth of local talent involved in the refurbishment project, followed by a drinks reception for guests.
